“How to Rob” Starring Chinaza Uche Finds Global Distribution: Cranked Up Films & Nicely Entertainment Acquire Rights to Acclaimed Crime Drama

Cranked Up Films, a division of Good Deed Entertainment, has acquired the North American rights to the debut feature film “How to Rob,” directed by Peter Horgan. The crime drama, which boasts outstanding performances from actors Chinaza Uche, Josh Koopman, and Caitlin Zoz, was also picked up by Nicely Entertainment for international rights. The film garnered significant attention and acclaim, winning the 2022 Audience Award for Narrative Feature at both the IFFBoston and the New Hampshire Film Festival.

“How to Rob” follows the story of a two-man stick-up crew, Sean Price (Chinaza Uche) and Jimmy Winters (Josh Koopman), from Boston whose lifelong bond is tested when they mistakenly rob the wrong bookie. The duo must now go on the run, as they find themselves pursued by relentless killers seeking revenge.

Scott Kirkpatrick, EVP of Distribution and Co-Productions for Nicely Entertainment, expressed excitement about including “How to Rob” in their expanding slate of international releases. He praised director Peter Horgan for his excellent execution of the film and is eager to introduce it to global audiences.

Horgan, the director, described “How to Rob” as a movie that delves into themes of loyalty, friendship, platonic love, and the evolution of relationships over time. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Cranked Up and Nicely Entertainment, confident that the film’s remarkable performances will resonate with audiences worldwide.

Written and directed by Peter Horgan, the film’s production involved a dedicated team, including producers Josh Koopman, Chinaza Uche, Samantha Brindisi, Vera Teixeira, Becca E. Davis, Rio Contrada, Sara Franzman, Andrew Gerzon, and Caitlin Zoz. Sammie Astaneh (Exile) served as the executive producer. The film’s visual aesthetics were captured by director of photography Mike Hechanova from Urban Mouse Productions, while Bruno Ferreira handled the editing and Natalia Hatz composed the music.
