Brymo Set to Release 13th Studio Album, “Macabre,” in December: A Trailblazing Journey of Conscious Music

Brymo, born Olawale Ashimi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and composer, who has carved a unique niche for himself in the music industry. With a career that dates back to the early 2000s, Brymo has earned a reputation for making some of the most consciously striking and thought-provoking music in the Nigerian music scene.

Hailing from Okokomaiko, Lagos State, Brymo began his musical journey as a member of a church choir, where he honed his singing skills and passion for music. He later joined the music group “The Aliens,” but it was his collaboration with Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince in the group “Loopy Crew” that brought him into the limelight.

In 2010, Brymo’s big break came when he signed a recording contract with Chocolate City, one of Nigeria’s leading record labels at the time. He gained widespread recognition with the release of his debut studio album, “Brymstone,” which featured hit singles like “Shawty” and “Ara.” The album earned him critical acclaim and cemented his position as one of the industry’s rising stars.

Brymo’s artistry is deeply rooted in African tradition and social activism. He uses his music to address pertinent issues affecting society, drawing inspiration from his Yoruba heritage and African culture. Throughout his career, he has consistently challenged societal norms and expressed his views on various subjects through his music.

Over the years, Brymo has maintained a distinct approach to his musical releases. Rather than focusing on singles, he has been known to release full-length studio albums that carry a cohesive message. With an astonishing discography of 12 studio albums, each release showcases his growth and evolution as an artist.

As he prepares to drop his 13th studio album, “Macabre,” fans eagerly anticipate another powerful musical journey from Brymo. With the proposed release date set for December 1, the album is expected to delve into issues that have surrounded the artist, providing a deeper insight into his thoughts and perspectives.

Brymo’s influence on the Nigerian music scene cannot be overstated, and his commitment to creating conscious and impactful music continues to inspire both fans and fellow artists alike. “Macabre” promises to be yet another remarkable addition to the legacy of this trailblazing artist.
