Teyana Taylor’s ‘Rose In Harlem’ Now Certified Gold

Teyana Taylor, the talented singer-songwriter and creative force, continues to achieve great success with her music. Her 2018 track “Rose In Harlem” has just received another prestigious accolade – it has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with over 500,000 equivalent units sold. This marks Taylor’s second certified release this year, following the gold certification of the Wu-Tang Clan-assisted remix of “Gonna Love Me.”

“Rose In Harlem” is part of Taylor’s sophomore album, “Keep That Same Energy” (K.T.S.E.), which celebrated its fifth anniversary this year. The song is the fourth track from K.T.S.E. to achieve an RIAA certification, with “Gonna Love Me” being the best-selling single so far.

Throughout her career, Teyana Taylor has earned an impressive total of eight RIAA singles awards, spread across her three albums: “VII” (2014), “K.T.S.E.” (2018), and “The Album” (2020). Her most recent award for “The Album” came for the song “Bare With Me,” which achieved gold status in September 2022. Additionally, from the “VII” era, she received a gold certification for “Maybe,” a track featuring Pusha T and Yo Gotti.

Although it has been three years since Taylor released new music and announced her retirement following the arrival of “The Album,” she has kept herself busy as a creative director for various artists, including Summer Walker, Latto, and Lil Baby.

Despite not releasing new music, Taylor remains in high demand for live performances. On July 29, she is set to headline night two of the Harlem Festival of Culture at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. Fans have the opportunity to catch her live at this exciting event, as well as the rescheduled Sol Blume Festival in August, where she serves as a special guest.

As Teyana Taylor’s career continues to flourish and her music receives recognition from the RIAA, fans can look forward to more remarkable achievements from this multi-talented artist in the future. For now, let’s celebrate her success and enjoy the soulful vibes of “Rose In Harlem” as we continue to support and appreciate her musical journey. Congratulations, Teyana Taylor!
